Temperatures across the world, except in North America, were higher. As a result of cooler temperatures in North America the battle goes on concerning climate change. That is no doubt one reason why Americans — or at least conservative Americans — have grown in skepticism this year: They have been bombarded with anti-scientific disinformation on “global cooling,” while at the same time failing to personally experience a very warm year.
2009 was number 5 on the all time list for hottest temperatures. Here in the United States and Canada it was not. It is very hard to convince people when they experience a cool summer that the climate is changing.
It is changing and if it keeps up people will see the biggest threat along coast lines. It will be the largest migration ever seen I expect. If you don't believe in man-made climate change, we have seen plenty of data saying temperatures are rising. My question is do we stand by and do nothing or should we reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and see if it helps? We won't get a second chance!
